Frequently asked questions.

Why use an Australian VA?

We are proud to be an Australian owned and operated business.  We welcome you to meet us and visit our office. We have local knowledge, work in the same tiime-zone and have a greater understanding of the culture of your workplace and that of your client's.  We also understand many of the laws of this fair country we live in. 

Who will I be working with?

If you decide to hire Ask EVA, you will be working with a professional, Australian-based assistant who will build upon and understand you and the needs of your business. You will have the ability to create a long term relationship with someone who is qualified, trained and knowledgeable.

Where is your office?

Our office is located on St Kilda Road, Melbourne (about 20 minute walk to Melbourne CBD) and in Mornington, which is about an hour south of Melbourne CBD.

What tasks can you do?

We can assist you with most office tasks you will need to keep your business running smoothly,  These include: emails, calendar, documents, event management, data entry and typing.  We also take dictation, can record meeting minutes, provide some desktop publishing services, provide research and more.  Talk to us about how we may be able to help you.

What tasks can't you do?

There are a few things that we cannot provide our clients: anything requiring a professional license, running physical errands, and any sort of impersonation, such as outbound sales calls.

Can we sign a Confidentiality Agreement?

Absolutely.  We provide a Confidentiality Agreement to you as a part of our usual business practice.  This helps to set out the terms of our engagement with you and helps to alleviate any uncertainty.

How do you access my Contacts, Calendar and Emails?

There are a number of ways we can assist.  You can either provide us with access to your account or we can create one for you.  We are happy to tap into a VPN is this suits you too.

How do you answer our calls?

Ask EVA will answer your calls, manage voicemails, and email or text your messages to you.  We give you freedom to move away from your phone helping to ensure that your time is spent where it matters most. Simply forward your number to us and we'll take care of the rest.

What are your hours?

We generally keep standard business hours 9.00 - 5.30 pm.  However, we understand that this is not always practical. We love to work to deadlines so please let us know if you have deadlines to meet and we will do our best to ensure you are on track and work is delivered on time.

How can I track your time?

Once you sign up, you'll have access to your Dashboard where you can view all of your tasks, time deductions and the balance of hours remaining under your plan.

Alternatively, we can send you a list of all tasks including task times, along with a balance of time remaining under your plan.

How do we get started?

If you haven't used Ask EVA before, then chat to us about your business, the types of tasks you would like us to take care of for you and where we can help you most.  This will help us to determine the right plan for you and to set up systems that will allow us to hit the ground running.
